Dmark Power could be champions tonight

After a poor start to the series, losing the first two games (73-88 & 61-80), Power have come back in the last three games looking like a true self (fast) and are just one win away from becoming back to back champions. This can be done tonight if they win game 6 and would be the first time for Bernes Akunda’s side to do this.

Whereas Power’s defense has improved almost ten-fold, Warriors’ offense has been poor. Their defense has been no different. Kyambogo Warriors had a chance to go 3-0 up only for their carelessness in defending and poor shooting to allow their opposition an unlikely route back. Isaac Afidra and Michael Kojjo have picked 43% of Power’s defensive rebounds in the three games they have won from Warriors’ 158 missed field shots and 22 free throws. Power has kept the Malinga brothers to just 60 points, 4 less than in the opening two games. This bodes no good for the university side.

Ivan Enabu has been the only live wire at warriors and has rendered the other guards almost irrelevant. Despite playing game 5 with an injured knee, he still had 14points, 7steals and 5 assists to his name in Warriors’ 70-77 loss to Power on Sunday night. Joseph Ikong has been the key offensive player in the powers wins and could still be the man to win it for power.
