The 2011 MTN FUBA League came to an end of Friday night. DMark Power emerged champions beating Kyambogo Warriors 4-3 in a second finals running to win their fifth title and third in four years.
However, there is still an unanswered question. Who is the Most Valuable Player? It’s unusual to name an MVP from the losing side. It’s likely that a Power’s player will be named.
Isaac Afidra and Ben Komakech have been the best players for the back to back champions in the post season.
Ben Komakech scored more points (121) than any other player in the finals. He also made 31 assists, 2 less than Warrior’s Ivan Enabu. The Power’s point guard also picked 46 rebounds, 35 denfensive.
Isaac Afidra hit clutch shots that have turned around games for Power. No Power fan can forget the 3 he nailed before Komakech sunk the throws that ultimately won Power game. Afidra grabbed 65 rebounds, 48 defensive. The power foward also scored 86 points in the seven games.
