The Uganda volleyball transfer window which started at the beginning of this month might leave both the men’s and women’s league champions, Nkumba university depleted.

Many players are linked to other volleyball clubs. These transfers are beefed up with better salaries and scholarship opportunities. Steven Ogwete of Nkumba is linked to Ndejje university. Ndejje also launched a bid for Sport-S’ Emma Kato. Ndejje’s Felix Isanga could make his way to Nkumba. Irene Andeke of the UCU doves has also been linked to KAVC. The transfers end on 31st January.
Meanwhile, the sport’s fraternity mainly volleyball, handball and netball lost a sports lover, enthuasist and teacher, Margaret Bisereko Ayo. She died at the age of 58 after succumbing to a tuberculosis illness. She was buried in Hoima. She was once the coach of volleyball clubs NIC and KAVC.
