Most often among many nations, groups, teams, organisations and bodies around the globe, there is change in office through democracy. The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) had an AGM at Lugogo Cricket oval last Saturday with a fundamental aim of electing a new executive. Mr. Richard Mwami, a former national star batsman came out winner of the top spot. He is stocked and equipped with Ugandan cricket knowledge and this will prove vital during his reign.

Daniel Ligyalingi was voted vice chairman, a post he got unopposed. Jackson Kavuma of Africa Cricket Club (ACC) became the general secretary in the process.

Jackie Nakitto got back to the slot for the women and this will be her last term. Denis Musali from Wanderers CC claimed the position of organising secretary.

Despite being away in Nairobi for the East African cricket tourney finals, Musali beat Ahmed Hussein, the USPA vice chairman to the slot. Musali got 11 votes, ten more than Hussein who got only 1. Amos Kyazze and Nicholas Kebba got 6 votes a piece hence making a tie. The UCA constitution is not clear about the incident it will take the association close to 30 days to get to a final conclusion.
