Like the way many say or the way the way the saying goes, luck favours the prepared mind. In a bid to have a stupendous season, volleyball side, Nemo Stars held a pre-season tournament at East Kololo primary school. This was the 6th edition where many participating sides tried to test their new signings. Sport-S and the hosts Nemo had 2-0 wins over UCU and Wazeyi, a side from the West respectively in the men’s semifinals. In the final, the host won significantly 2-0.UCU beat KCC in the final of the women’s category.

Meanwhile, the Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) also held an annual congress where they discussed last year and this year’s volleyball matters. The issue to do with players’ transfers also surfaced. They agreed to stick to the old norm of the transfer process. The number of signings from a particular club was to remain countless and if any club was to sign a player, negotiations would be a priority. The volleyball season will commence on the 18th and 19th next month with the Kyambogo open. Beach volleyball is slated for 26th February and the national league will start in April.
