Unlike the Buffaloes, the Rhinos couldnot deny the Heathens a bonus point at Kyadondo last Saturday. Four first half tries from Arthur Mukama, Micheal Wokorach, Dennis Mugamba and Scott ‘300’ Olouch sealed maximum points for the defending champions. Brian Kikawa missed of the four conversions. The 22-0 halftime score was not altered for the next 40minutes.
“We started on a low note but later gained our momentum and nowonder we didnt concede in the 2nd half” said Rhinos’ Phillip Nsubuga. “There was some scare among the new squad players since we were going facing the league holders. Our finishing is poor and we’ll work on it big time” added the player.
On the other hand, Brian Tabakura, the Heathens coach was not pleased with the result. “You are not an 80 minute side, you are 40minute team. Not even of 3 points in the 2nd half and there is loss of the ball in the contact area” said the coach during his side’s post match team talk.
George Collins Mulindwa a.k.a Afande Kerekere officiated the game, a performance many fans credited. Phillip Nsubuga and Micheal Wokorach got bookings.
In the other results, the XFM Impis picked their first away win with a narrow 15-14 against Jinja based Nile. Pirates cruised part the Sadolin Mongers with a 23-18 win at Kampala rugby club to cling onto their third league spot.
