The Uganda cricket national side is in good mood down in camp as they prepare for the ICC T20 World cup qualifiers slated for next month in Dubai. Sources close to UCA and the team indicate that the they will travel to Nairobi to have a last warm up game with Kenya so as to sharpen the players.
“Preparations are going on well so far. We are just actually doing more detailed stuff in training.” said the team leader, Davis Arinaitwe Karashani. Uganda won the Pepsi ICC Africa 1st division tourney in Kampala last July with a 6 wicket win over Namibia.
If they do the expected in Dubai, they will go for the T20 world cup in Sri Lanka in September, this year. Uganda will first play USA in Sharjah Cricket stadium, Abu Dhabi on 14th March and then play Oman at the ICC Global cricket academy ground No.2 in Dubai the next day. We wish them the best of luck.
