Ndejje University have been finally crowned the 2011 Uganda table tennis league champions, after they won last year’s title. The club was only crowned after DMK came on board to sponsor the league crowning ceremony, which included buying them a trophy and medals. They announced that they will be sponsoring this year’s event, which will also have a women’s competition or the first time.

Ndejje beat Fotogenix 8-2 in the final of the play offs, despite losing 5-3 in the league action last year. The crowning was held during the ranking of the top 32 men players that was held at Kololo High School.

The women’s ranking tournament will take place Sunday in Mbale, which is the hub of women table tennis. Ndejje, have dominated the table tennis calendar with the help of some top players like Ronnie Andira, Ronald Nyaika, Daniel Kajubi and Kevin Mafabi.
