balls gave Scotland a brisk start and the middle-order batsmen all made contributions towards the total of 170, with Gordon Goudie’s 26 off 10 balls, including three sixes, giving the run-rate a significant boost.
Uganda started the chase well but the pressure of the challenging target told and wickets began to fall regularly.
Left hand spinner Henry Ssenyonjo took 2 for 33 in his four overs and pace bowler Jonathan Sebanja bagged 2 wickets too as Uganda struggled to victory.
Uganda has dropped from third to fifth behind Namibia, Ireland Italy and Scotland in that order. The Cricket Cranes play Namibia today in a game they need to win to brighten their qualification chances.
