Rugby League decider for tomorrow

When UTL Kobs hosted Heathens at the end of first round of the 2012 Nile Special rugby premier league, it was a narrow 13-11 win for the hosts after a left wing Kimono display. It’s now the reverse as Heathens will try to stop the record champions from attaining cup glory at their grounds in Kyadondo, the home of Ugandan rugby.

The Yellow Machine has not lost a tie at home since

2009 and this will ring a bell in coach Fred Mudoola’s boys that munched Pirates 25-12 last weekend. The winner of the tie will gain momentum and an upper hand to securing this year’s league top spot.

Fourth placed G4S Pirates will host struggling Nile Lions at Kampala rugby club at the same time today. If the hosts lose out or win without a bonus point, Toyota Buffaloes could cement themselves in the third place on the log.

Pirates won 56-00 in the first round at Jinja dam waters, the day Felix Lubega marked his return to the league with two tries. At the House of Pain, Entebbe Mongers will host XFM Impis who lost 47-14 to table leaders last week and Kigongo Sebalamu’s troops are in need of a vital bonus point.
