Herbert Rwamibazi’s hard work on the course paid off as he claimed the prestigious Hima Captain’s trophy returning to the club house with a score of 68 nett on count back to beat 100 golfers at the Uganda Golf Club on Saturday evening.
The glamorous event the final tournament for the out-going club captain so top pro golfer Deo Akope reclaim the top prize for the professionals win the 4 million at stake and beating 17 pro golfers with a score of 70 gross.
Other winners on the day had Phillip Kasozi, take the gross winner’s prize with 72. Junior golfer Ashvin Kananathan with 68 nett was
group A winner.
Group B was claimed by Lim Lim with 71 nett on count back. Gerald Abila was group C winner with 68. Esther Okullo was the ladies winner with 82 nett on count back. UPDF’s Flavia Namakula maintained her good form to claim group A with 66 nett. While Annet Kiconco with 70 scooped group B.
