National Kick boxer Titus Tugume has vowed to fight his way to the number one spot in the world rankings immediately after getting into a promotional deal with Kweli promotions. Kweli and Tugume have signed a one year rolling contract that will see the former book and organize international fights for the UPDF soldier.
Speaking at the launch of the fight, Kweli promotions CEO Patrick Kanyomozi who seemed to have overcome the trauma that was in the Golola-Nagy fight assured the media present about his intentions on becoming the number one promoter in the land.
“The most important thing is that am back,” said Kanyomozi. “It’s a
surprise to many but to me as well because I didn’t know I would ever be back in this sport,” he added.
Tugume, the reigning USPA Kick boxer of the year will be fighting German born Reich Viktor on May 11 at the UMA exhibition hall for the vacant Intercontinental Full Contact belt.
“The number one slot is filled by European alone I would to be the first Ugandan to feel that position,” Tugume Said. “Am not targeting money but targeting to be the number one kick boxer in the world,” he added.
It won’t be the first time that Tugume is fighting a fighter with color, as he has been to South Korea, Greece Brazil, Italy, Turkey places he has won are number of accolades.
“I want to make Tugume number one, the most important thing is he is talented no doubt about that so my only aim is to get him fights,” Kanyomozo emphasized.
