
Ivan Wava put up a man of the match performance as he speared his side Simba FC to a comfortable 2-1 victory over Proline FC in the Bell Super League game this afternoon at Nakivubo stadium.
Wava struck for the soldiers in the ninth minute with a clinical finish from a through ball from Godfrey Sentongo to put his side infront early. Thirty seven minutes later he turned provider for his side placing a well laid pass for Robert Nakyenalire to increase the lead for Simba.
Simba FC looked very dangerous when on the break for a Proline FC that looked heavy and slow on a dry and hard Nakivubo surface.
William Wadri pulled one back for Proline FC converting a penalty in the 54 minute after being brought down in the forbidden area by Martin Kizza. It was Wadri’s fifth goal of the season.
The win pushed Simba to 12 in the 16 team league while Proline FC is sixth. The Bombo based side has done a double over the Lugogo based Proline FC having beaten them 1-0 in the first round.
