Handicap 15 veteran golfer Pantaleo Kasangaki, remained on course to win the overall crown at the end of the year when he claimed the Orange/Castle Lite Mug of Mugs at the splendid Entebbe golf club over the weekend.
Kasangaki played a perfect score of 69 nett to beat a strong field of 105 golfers as he remained in
strong contention to claim the end of year Mug of Mugs. Scratch player Patrick Mugisha with 75 nett took group A.
Former MTN Heathens rugby player Peter Magona scooped group B with a score of 75 nett on count back. Handicap 26 Johnson Barasa claimed group C with 73 nett on count back.
Lydia Nantaba was the lady winner with 68 nett while Gerald Abila with 73 nett was the guest winner.
Vincent Byamukama, beat nine professionals to claim the 1 million shillings that was on offer.
It was the first tournament under the club’s new chairman Innocent Kihika. He replaced Kiwanuka Kiryowa.
