Sanity Returns at Masaka LC as players call off strike

There was relief for Masaka LC fans as their players decided to call off the strike over 3 months salary arrears and returned to training today ahead of URA FC saturday visit in the Uganda Super League.

The players had unanimously agreed not to play any match again before their salary arrears are cleared and refused to train immediately after the 1-0 win over Victors FC in the Bell Uganda Cup round of 16.

However, Coach Kefa Kisala has reiterated to Kawowo sports that the situation at the club has normalised. “We talked to the players

and showed them the big picture. District Chairman Mr. Kalungi Joseph has promised them an immediate pay and we hope everything will materialise”, said Kisala.

On the URA FC encounter, Kisala said that his boys are ready to shock the champions pointing to home advantage as their key ingredient. “We can beat any one at home including URA FC. Masaka Recreation ground is a fortress”, he concluded.
