Tugume determined to gain fitness

Current national kick boxing Champion Titus Tugume remains committed to landing a World Kickboxing Federation (WFK) intercontinental title at all costs. The 27 year old has been out of action since October last year due to lack of competition as he looks at resurrecting his career come May 11 against Reich Viktor from German.

Those plans have been boosted by the recovery of Tugume’s right leg injury he sustained when preparing for the Malik Kaliisa bout. “Yeah I was injured the last fight and it has taken a while to heal but now am fully fine,” said Tugume.

He started serious training for the fight this week on Monday

concentration mainly on endurance and foot work. Tugume has a month and a few days to the fight and looks like he will gain all that he needs to be in shape.

“Unlike other kick boxers I never stop training even when I don’t have a fight which at least keeps me in shape though now it’s serious business with a title on the line,” he added. Immediately after dismissing Kaliisa, Tugume vowed to win a world title and lifting the Intercontinental at the expense of Reich will put him in line for one.
