Eyes on the Big prize as Orange U-17 league reaches finals

Six weeks of intense and dazzling soccer skills from various soccer academies in the country comes to an end this evening and Saturday when the grand final in the Orange U-17 league reaches its climax at the Arua Police ground in West Nile.

Arsenal Uganda Soccer Academy from Kajjansi that is representing Kampala region in the final go into this final as favorities and other teams from the respective regions will have to keep a watch on the lethal Moses Seruyide, who has notched up six goals through out the league as

he chases for the overall top scorers boot. His team-mate and strike partner Isa Mubiru follows closely with four goals.

According to the organisers of the tournament which is also being supervised by FUFA will see the five contesting regions playing a round robin format to determine who plays in tomorrow’s final.

Other representatives include Ball Line Soccer Academy from Buganda region. Emirates soccer academy from Western region while Son Set soccer academy and Doves United will be representing Eastern and Northern Region.

Orange Uganda has sunk close to 30 million shillings into the first edition of this youth soccer league.

The local soccer federation president Lawrence Mulindwa will be the chief guest at the finals tomorrow.
