Masaka Shocks URA FC with a 2-0 win

Defending champions URA FC has wasted an opportunity to reclaim top spot in Uganda Super League after suffering a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Masaka LC. The hosts scored as early as the first minute through Kasolo Moustapha after URA FC lost possesion immediately after kick off.

The first half ended with the hosts enjoying a 2-0 goal advantage. After recess, Alex Isabirye’s side did everything they could but could not break the hosts rear guard for a goal. The win moves Masaka LC to 4th position on the table with 31 points from 19 games played. The Champions remain in second place on 37 points collected from 17 games. This was the second loss URA FC has suffered in a space of seven days having lost to Djoliba AC last weekend by the same score.
