Patidar, Wanderers send early warning messages

League defending champions, Patidar Samaj Cricket Club and Wanderers Cricket Club nine wicket wins over National T20 League runner-ups, Charity Trust Fund and SKLPS sides at Entebbe and Kyambogo in the Multiple Industries’ cricket league on Sunday.

Remarkable figures from national team stars, Charles Waiswa (7/8) and Roger Mukasa (23 runs) only ensured that Patidar started their bid for the title in high gear.

After a poor run of form in the Championship and T20 laurels early this year, Wanderers’ Sam Walusimbi could afford a smile following  Ivan Thawithemwira’s 94 runs (not out) and veteran, Nehal Bibodi’s 45.

Davis Karashani who led the Ugandan troops to Dubai last month figured 3/28 whereas Denis Tabby poised 2/20 to kill SKLPS’s chance of having a two win league streak.

The Nile-Rounders’ game was postponed to leave Lugogo for the third tie between Uganda and Rwanda yesterday.
