Sportsmen gear up for monthly USPA award

The Uganda Sports press Association (Uspa) monthly meeting for the month of April will this morning be crowned by the sports scribes when they crown the sports personality for the month of March.

Weightlifter Charles Ssekyaaya, who won gold Silver and bronze at last month’s Africa Senior weightlifting championships look favorite to lift the USPA monthly sports accolade.

Ssekayaaya will though face stiff competition from the national men handball team that beat Kenya in the

International Handball Federation zone five under 20 championships final. Others on short-list are Motorsport driver Nasser Mutebi, who won his first national event after four-years.

That was the MOSAC Rally in Masaka when he returned home in a time of 1hour 46 minutes and 50 seconds. National Cricket Captain Davies Karashani Arinaitwe and Joseph Kiptegaei have won the January and February accolades respectively.
