Weatherhead Skyliners Hockey club (A side) was capped winners of the second version of the All ladies competition on Saturday at Lugogo hockey grounds.
Weatherhead A’s Tatiana Lenanga who took the top scorer honour (5 goals) scored the lone goal against Kampala HC in the final of the round robin tourney that had attracted four teams ensure that her side retained the title in succession.
According to Uganda Hockey Federation officials, proceeds from this tournament are planned to be used to upkeep disadvantaged girl communities through the hockey sport. The only school in the event, Mt. St.Mary’s Namagunga and Weatherhead B were the other wings that made it this year’s Spedag interfreight funded event.
The concluded tourney is part of the Uganda Hockey Federation’s first calendar activities.
