
One of Uganda Cricket Association’s (UCA) most fond development programmes for girls, the secondary schools’ cricket is set to bowl off on 13-18th this month. Close to 12 of the 25 schools that featured in this year’s qualifiers will play the tournament.
According to UCA officials Franklyn Najjumba and John Trust Mayeku, the games will be played in
Lugogo, Kyambogo, Gayaza and Buddo ovals. Meanwhile, mini-cricket programme is still taking course in Mukono and Jinja district. The event will also be at Lugogo on the 14th of this month.
Gayaza High school, the defending champions, Ndejje SS and Kings College Buddo will feature. Our Lady of Good Counsel Gayaza pulled out of the tenth edition of this event.
Jinja SS and Soroti Light SS will also travel from Eastern Uganda for the games.
