Five primary schools were selected to represent Kampala district at the regional mini-cricket tournament scheduled for June. This comes after Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) held a minicricket festival at Lugogo oval yesterday.
Agha Khan and Shimoni managed to qualify in the U11 and U13 categories for both boys and girls. GreenHill, Naguru Infant and Kisuule are the other schools were selected for the regional tourney.
UCA development officer, John Trust Mayeku ponders this programme as a way forward in developing Cricket Uganda. The minicricket festivals have attracted over 180 schools around the country.
