Change of opponent won’t intimidate Tugume

National kickboxing champion Titus Tugume believes his new opponent for the vacant Intercontinental super middle weight fight, Lozenzo Volodymir from Serbia will go down the same way, Reich Viktor would have.

Reich chickened out of next month’s fight citing injury according to fight’s promoter Patrick kanyomozi. Though, kanyomozi is also basing on information coming out of Reich’s base in Germany.

Tugume has remained focused on his training schedule though just like Reich, he is green about Volodymir. “Most of those opponents have seen me fight when I travel to Europe and when they realize I will be hard to overcome they pull out,” said Tugume.

“Europeans are good fighters, but I will continue to stay put for whoever is brought in my face,” he added. The  night that will future a lady’s world title fight involving Ugandan Brenda Masendi and Volodymir’s country mate Lena Ovychinnikova was also rescheduled from April 11 to 18. Volodymir is currently ranked 25 in the world compared to Tugume’s 12th position.
