UOC boss to

When the Going Gets Tough, the tough get going and that seems to be the best norm to describe the battle going on between Uganda Olympic Committee president Roger Kiyonga Ddungu and his vice president administration William Blick.

A tough talking Ddungu has warned that he will take disciplinary action against his wayward vice president who has been in office for less than four months since taking over his position at the National Olympic Committee.

“I am going to take disciplinary action and if need be suspend him and appoint a new member to his post,” a tough talking Ddungu stated at a press conference called at Lugogo stadium to clear the air of the battle he is

having with his executive. “So many people want to become president’s so quickly, but they should use the proper challenges to reach that status.”

The battles come in the wake of Ddungu calling a meeting which was “hijacked”  by Blick thus causing a huge rift between the two administrators with Ddungu setting up a tribunal to discipline the Rugby boss.

“He Ddungu setting up a tribunal to discipline me is totally illegal and has too be convene by his executive,” Blick shot back. “Ddungu has failed to understand the consitution of the Uganda Olympic Commitee.”

Ddungu added that Blick had no mandate to discuss issues pertaining to Olympic matters since Rugby is not an Olympic sport and will only become one in 2016.
