SATURDAY AT KYADONDO
Uganda v Kenya (4pm)
WOMEN-Uganda v Kenya (2pm)
The final week of practice for the Rugby Cranes ahead of Saturday’s first leg of the Elgon Cup has featured 26 players, two more than usual.
Following the withdrawal of six players from the provisional 34-man squad over the past
month, there weren’t any major casualties when the team was trimmed yesterday.
Work forced wing Allan Musoke and prop Ronald Adigasi out of the team while an injury to the hand kicked flanker Robert Seguya out.
All three are African champions from 2007 along with Felix Lubega, whose comeback from a two-year layoff is still months off.
Back row Dan Canowira and centre Patrick Leku will have to wait for their 15s debuts whereas Tiimothy Dumba also withdrew.
Musajja was found to be surplus on the back row that already has skipper Mathias Ochwo, MVP Andrew Olweny and his predecessor Scot Oluoch, who can also play as a lock.
