Nile secure first league win

Nile cricket club secured their first win in this year’s Multiple Industries’ cricket league after beating Challengers by seven wickets at Entebbe oval yesterday. Martin Ondeko’s 19 not out, Geoffrey Gandi’s bowling of 4/23 and Brian Masaba who won the man of the match award had 4/12 as their collective efforts savored their 100% league record.

Challengers’ Daniel Ruyange poised 22 not out but it was not enough for his side in the target revised game due to weather. Charity had sweet three

wicket revenge over Tornado in a repeat of the recent T20 league final. Dubai contingent stellar, Jonathan Sebanja’s 34 not out and Ronald Semanda’s 47 (man of the match) pushed Tornado from the bottom slot.

Arthur Ziraba’s 70 runs and Farouk Ochimi’s 35 at Jinja oval secured Wanderers’ second win in as many games. In the second division, Africa Cricket Club drew with Warriors CC before the former won the second game by 31 runs in the twenty over ties.
