Tough away task for Rugby Cranes to win Elgon Cup

The national rugby team will need to shun a 13 point loss in Nairobi if their dream of winning this Elgon Cup is to stay flourishing.
The 19-5 win over the Kenya Lions in the first leg last week at Kyadondo grounds will give tutor, Yayiro Kasasa a plus before his visiting side step onto the

Rugby Union of East Africa grounds in Nairobi tomorrow.

But Uganda’s hopes will be hit by winger, Justin Kimono’s absence, who is out of the team for exams at the Makerere University. Kimono scored a brilliant try with three minutes to go in the first leg last week but Jude Keremundu who proved decisive in this year’s Nile Special Rugby League for Heathens will fill the void.

Just like the first bolt, the side was hit with injuries and numerous replacements, so has been in the buildup to the title decider along Ngong road. Uganda’s record away in Nairobi has not been that extraordinary in the past, having been a super den for the Lions. From Kawowo Sports desk, we hope for the crown after the televised game’s final whistle tomorrow.
