Player Ratings: SC Villa vs KCC FC

Kawowo sports rates the performance of the players in a game Villa won their rivals KCC F.C 2-0 in the Super League.

SC.VILLA FC

MULINDWA MUWONGE: 6.0 The Villa custodian kept a clean sheet. He made a brilliant save in the 27th minute after Andy Ssekayombya had only him to beat.

DENIS OKOTH 6.0 Limped off at the start of the second half but had a decent 45 minutes against Brian Majwega and also offered some time in offence.

AYUB KISALIITA 6.0 Replaced after half an hour due to injury. Before his withdrawal, he played well keeping KCC forwards at bay.

MISI KATENDE 7.5 Calm and composed performance from the make shift centre back. Will be happy with a clean sheet.

MUSAMALI PAUL 6.5 Did well against the tricky Birungi Micheal. Spared time to go offensive and had some decent crosses into the opponents area.

KIRABIRA ISAAC 7.0 Controlled proceedings in the midfield. His passing wasn’t the best but provided enough cover for the back four.

SSEMBATYA GODFREY 6.0 Did well in the midfield before displaying his versality when he shifted to right back in the second half after Okot’s injury. Good game.

NDAULA MOSES 8.5 Opened the scoring with a 40 yard strike in the 53rd minute and had a genuine penalty claim turned down by the referee. Tidy in possesion. Brilliant performance.

BENGO STEVEN 7.5 Made work look easy against Aloro Modest though wasteful in possesion at times. Hit the woodwork with a fierce freekick. Set up Herman Wasswa for Villa second.

HERMAN WASSWA 7.5 Composed performance from the Shirt. 14. Worked tirelessly and even offered support in defence. Put the icing on the cake with a wonder curling strike.

MUGANGA RONALD 7.0 Kept the visitors rear guard on tenterhooks for the entire game. Unlucky not to get on the score sheet when he shot when Wakabu was already beaten.

SUBSTITUTES:

GASANA PHILLIP 7.0 Came on for Kisaliita and did well. Good decision maker.

ACEMA ROBERT 6.0 Composed and tidy in possession.

KCC FC

WAKABU GODFREY 5.0 Should have done better to save Ndaula’s strike though he had no chance with Wasswa’s. Made a number of saves to keep the score line respectable.

MODEST ALORO 4.0 Had an afternoon to forget. Beaten at will by Bengo’s trickery. Allowed Wasswa so much space for Villa’s second.

KATEREGA EDISON 5.0. Had a torrid afternoon against Villa’s pacy Wasswa. Injured and withdrawn in the second half.

RICHARD MALINGA 6.0 The skipper did well to block Herman Wasswa’s shot in the first minute. Over run by Villa’s tricky and pacy forwards.

EMUGE ISRAEL 6.0 The big defender used his big frame well against Villa forwards but failed to read the game well in the build up to Villa’s second.

JIMMY KAKOOZA 6.5 The midfield maestro was KCC’s man of the match. Blocked and intercepted Villa’s attacks but will regret losing Ndaula Moses for the opener. LUBEGA TITUS. 5.0 A quiet afternoon for the lad. Over powered by Villa’s attacking play.

BIRUNGI MICHEAL 5.5 Kept quiet by Villa’s left back Paul Musamali. His passing wasn’t the best and give away possesion easily. Replaced by Andy Ssali with 24 minutes to play.

ANDY SSEKAYOMBYA 5.0 Should have converted in the 27th minute but his weak shot was saved by Villa’s Mulindwa. Will rue that missed chance. Didn’t get enough supply but was lethargic infront of goal when opportunities arose.

BRIAN MAJWEGA 6.0 Had an eighth minute shot parried away by custodian Mulindwa Muwonge. Besides, he had a quiet game by his standards.

SUBSITITUTES:
JJUUKO YUSUF 5.0 Came on for the injured Katerega but failed to contain Bengo Steven and is the man he beat to set up Herman Wasswa for Villa’s second.

ANDY SSALI 5.0 Replaced Titus Lubega but lacked supply. Didn’t get any chance to hurt Villa.
