While at the event launch whose theme is ‘To save the environment’, minister of sports in the Buganda government , Herbert Semakula urged people from all walks of life to take part in the third edition of the Buganda road race that takes place this Sunday at Lubiri, Mengo. So far, over 1000 persons have registered to take part in the event that has attracted numerous sponsors aboard.
SMS Company, Blue Cube has provided trophies and medals for winners the 5km and 10km competitions. Local artiste, Jose Chameleone has provided mobile phones for the best participating corporate teams and schools. Event general secretary, Edward Wamala revealed that politicians, Betty Nambooze and Betty Olive Kamya are already listed for this year’s event revealed event general secretary, while speaking to journalists at Nalubwama arcade yesterday.
“We are grateful to all our sponsors” said Wamala. Other event promoters include Verro mineral water, CBS, Radio one and two FM stations and betting company, Gaming International.
