Ibrahim Sekagya wins Austrian Bungesliga

Former Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya, capped a remarkable season by claiming his third Austrian Bundesliga title with Red Bull Salzburg as they rompt to a 5-1 win over Wiener Neustadt away this afternoon in Vienna.

Sekagya who has been instrumental as his side have strolled to their seventh Bundesliga title as they eye their first domestic double this season.

Sekagya, who hung up his boots from international football recently was all excited after achieving this feat claiming it has been one of his greatest moments in his football career. “I am just so so excited about this feat after what happened to me last season when I lost my mother. It was a difficult moment for me in my career,” Sekagya said recently.

“I am dedicating this season to her as we still have a chance of winning a domestic double when we play in the OFB Samsung Cup against Josko Reid on May 13” Salzburg last week eased their way to the title when they humbled league chasers Rapid Vienna with a 1-0 win away to consolidate their position of claiming their seventh title under their Dutch manager Richardo Moniz .
