With the Bell Uganda Super League almost reaching a climax the USL chairman Julius Kavuma Kabenge, has hailed the clubs in the league for exhibiting high levels of competition which has seen a closely contested battle at the top and bottom of the table.
“I am extremely happy with the level of competition in the Uganda Super League it has really been an open league at both ends of the table with URA FC,Express FC,Bunanwaya SC and also Proline FC all have a go at winning the league,” Kabenge, made these comments at the official launch of the USL/Bell Super League Football awards today at Lion Bar in Sheraton Hotel.
“It shows that there is alot of quality in the league with lots of up-coming youngsters and also some good coaches in the league.”
The awards are slated for June 29 at Serena Hotel with 16 categories up for grabs from various nominee. Kabenge stated that the league will no longer have starts and stops that have hampered the league.
The launch was attended by Kabenge, UBL’s brand executive Grace Namutebi, the league’s manager Paul Kabaikaramu, the league’s spokesman James Sekandi and SMS One’s Jamila Mayanja.
