Bunnamwaya midfielder Murushid Juuko has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury. According to Bunamwaya team Doctor, the 19 year old midfielder will recover within a month or two and will resume training in preparations for next season. “We have ruled him out so that he can fully recover, we don’t want to rush him,” Sekumba said.
Juuko broke both bones in his right arm when his club was taking on URA FC in the Bell Uganda cup at Pece stadium on Saturday. “We hope he will be fully fit at the start of the 2012/2013 season,” Sekumba added. He landed poorly on the ground after losing an aerial battle in the midflied, three minutes after he had come on for Martin Muwanga.
Juuko has on several occasions been used as a second half substitute by Edward Golola to cool the tempo of games and to provide numbers in midfield. He is destined to miss Bunnamwaya’s final seven games of the seaon starting with the away fixture against Maroons in Luzira. Juuko is a versatile player who can play as a central defender, full back and midfielder.
