
Uganda Ladies Golf Union team can fasten their belts and fly to Gabarone,Botswana for the All Africa Golf Challenge slated for June 6-7 in the Southern African nation.
The ladies side hit their target of more than their initial budget of 30 million to participate in this prestigious tournament with several companies donating money to the side that is made up of Flavia Namakula, Eva Magala, Jasper Kamukama together with ULGU lady president Rose Musoke and trustee Monica Ntege.
The ULGU team was worried it would miss out on the tournament due to lack of funds,but now can fully focus on the up-coming event as they look forward to better their position of last year. Uganda last year finished fifth out of 18 nations in Abuja, Nigeria.
Team Uganda will remain for the Botswana Ladies Open which will be held on June 8-10. Meanwhile Nyumbani Decor was winner of the ULGU Fundraiser golf tournament at the par 72 Kitante golf course returning with a score of 110 points to finish top and beating a total of 19 Corporate teams. Sadolin was runner up with 108 points in the one day event.
