Police hold URA

URA FC 1-1 Police FC

URA FC’s hopes of winning a double this season were a little bit dented this afternoon after being held to a one all draw by Sam Timbe’s Police FC at Lugazi. Augustine Nsumba scored for the tax collectors before the cops leading marks man Kakembo Jimmy levelled matters for his tenth goal of the season.

The tax men however were relieved after title chasers Proline FC lost to Bidco FC 1-0 in Namboole. Alex Isabirye’s side remain at the summit of the table on 54 points with three games to go while Police FC stay 13th on the 16 team log on 29 points and are unbeaten in their last four games ever since Brazilian trained tactician Sam Timbe took over the helms at the Naguru based side.

With Hoima-Busia FC losing 3-1 at the hands of Masaka LC, the cops’ hopes of surviving the drop are high. For URA FC, each of their remaining fixtures is more of a must win if they are to realise their dream of winning their maiden double in history.
