Express football club two goal hero Yayo Lutimba, is basking in the limelight after scoring to clinical set-pieces in the Bell Uganda Super League Finale on Sunday against Bidco FC, that handed his side their first league trophy in sixteen years,but the player has been in such situations of pressure games on the Big Stage.

“It’s not the first time I have been in such situations in a big game like this,” the confident Lutimba said after his side’s 2-1 win over Bidco FC on Sunday. “It reminds me of when I was playing for the Kampala Kids League in Europe when we used to play in the Tivoli and Gothia Cup finals those games where always pressure games and it made me and my colleagues learn to live with that pressure.”

Lutimba won several trophies with the Kampala Kids League in the the early 2000’s in Denmark,Sweden,Holland and Norway.

The utility player stepped forward in the tenth minute to convert Express’s opening goal from the spot kick and in the 50th minute did the same to convert a free-kick to hand the Red Eagles their first silverware in the league since 1996.

Sam Ssimbwa has soldiered his mostly youthful side that has exhibited some exciting football in the 2011/2012 Bell Uganda Super League, that ended with three teams that is the Red Eagles, last season’s league champions URA FC and Bunamwaya SC with a chance of claiming the league.
