 Sat. Uganda Vs Congo Brazzaville.

This is a do or die, more of a cup final game. With 90 minutes of 180 so far played, the Cranes are 3-1 down and need only two goals in the remaining time to have the job accomplished. Luckily, the minutes left are to be played at home, a place where the team’s last loss came seven years ago. However, it doesn’t mean the team has won every game at home

between that period, it drew some. Going into Saturday’s game, even winning by a single strike won’t be enough. This implies going for a huge win but how should the side play and line up to achieve this? This i what the 50 year old Scot should do. Denis Onyango should maintain his starting role in goal since he has always been fine since last season’s campaign. Defence: In case Andy Mwesigwa fails to recover in time, Hassan Wasswa should partner Henry Kalungi in central defence with Godfrey Walusimbi occupying the left back position. Guma Denis should start ahead of Masaba Simon. The URA FC right back seems to have lost a yard of pace as exhibited last weekend against Senegal. Bobby should trust Guma since this is a game we need not to concede a goal. MIDFIELD. With Tony Mawejje suspended and Musa Mudde doubtful, Bobby faces a selection headache without his first choice central midfield partnership. However, he doesn’t need to worry alot as Johnson Bagoole, Ochan Patrick, and Hassan Wasswa are all available. He should opt for Bagoole in the holding role and may be Ochan just infront of him. If Andy recovers in time, he can opt for Hassan Wasswa in midfield. Dan Wagaluka’s experience is vital on the right side of midfield despite putting up a poor show against Senegal last Saturday though Steven Bengo should replace Martin Mutumba on the left without doubt. Upfront, the battle for starting two places is amongst Emma Okwi, Brian Umony, Geoffrey Massa, Mike Sserumaga and Robert Ssentongo. In my opinion, Brian Umony and Emma Okwi should start ahead of the rest. If not that, Mike Sserumaga should return to the team occupying the classic No. 10 role along side Emma or Brian. Massa should start on the bench like it happened on Saturday. Not that he is a bad player but to me, he creates more impact off the bench than as a starter yet we need that player who can make a perfect plan B. How would you like the Cranes to line up against Senegal?
