Struggling kick boxer Moses Golola couldn’t handle the spot on punches and kick from his Hungarian opponent Szamboki Matte on Saturday morning at Kyandodo Rugby Club.

The two fighter were meant to go for ten rounds instead of the usual five, and that’s where Golola lost his stamina from the third round and his endurance ran out

in the fifth and sixth.

Matte was coached by Istvan Rozman the same man who coached Andras Nagy and it was evident the trainer would pass on the notes to his fighter.

The moment of truth was to come in the sixth round when Golola threw in the towel to the relief of the already frustrated fans. “I got a discolocation (read dislocation) in my leg and realized I would not be able to continue and didn’t want to be knocked out,” said Golola.
But he didn’t show any signs of a dislocation as he stood on both his feet during the post match interview. “Ugandans shouldn’t lose hope because I am a fighter and will get back to my feet very hope,” he added. Golola asked for a rematch and it was immediately granted by Ivstan though the date is yet to be communicated.
“Am happy that my fighter won but am also disappointed that Golola didn’t finish the fight,” Mate’s coach Istvan told kawowo.com. “But it’s also worrying that Golola keeps on losing at home,” he added.
The whole event was poorly organized as journalist could not access the ring side, they mingled with the rest of the fans, the turn up was low, the entertainers prolonged matters, to the frustration of the fans. It was hard to tell if we had come for a concert or an international fight
