The race to win the Dasani Golf Series that reaches a climax in the grand finale in August continued last weekend at the Jinja Golf Club when they selected the best two teams out of a total of 12 teams.
Jinja’s finest teams on the one day of action at the 18 hole golf course where David Samanya with 36 points, Ronald Otim with 41 points while Sunday Lulet and Edward Onek hadd 40 and 26 points respectively
giving their winning side a total of 143 points and sealing their position for the grand finale at the Uganda Golf Club next month.
The other team that finished with impressive scores was made up of Sanjay Patel with 35 points, Phillip Kasango returned to the club house with 36 points while Edson Kasaija and Brian Nkono had 34 and 30 points respectively giving their side a total haul of 135 points.
This is the second edition of this team event tournament that has so far attracted close to three thousand golfers from Kampala,Entebbe and Jinja golf clubs the series continues at the Mbarara Sports Club on July 14 Toro Club, Fort Portal will then host their qualifiers on July 28.
The grande finale will be held on August 18 at the Uganda Golf Club with the winning team of four golfers winning a fully paid trip of luxurious golf at a luxury golf club in the world.
Last year Entebbe’s team made up of Joseph Bogera, Henry Lujja, Vincent Katutsi and Alexander Kasendwa, claimed the overall winners ticket to a fully sponsored trip to Phuket,Thailand. This year who will win the grand finale? We shall keep you posted.
