National golfer Willy Kitata continued his impressive form by claiming the MTN June monthly mug at the par 72 Kitante golf course on Saturday going into a crucial month ahead of the Inter-Region golf tournament that swings into action later this month.
The 21 year old golfer return with a perfect score of 69 gross to beat over 120 golfers to claim the overall gross title. The victory will be a big morale booster for him as he heads into the inter-region golf tournament that swings into action at the end of this month.
Kitata and claim another sculp if he wins today’s July mug that is being played at the same club.
Karanja Karubuyo claimed Group A.
Peter Matira was group B winner with scores of 67 nett. Veteran politician Okello Okello took the honours in Group C with a perfect score of 69 nett.
Getrude Acato was Ladies group A winner with 70 nett while Aggie Konde wrapped up group B with 68 nett. Herman Mutawe claimed the MTN pro series for the month of June with 175 points as he seeks to claim back to back titles in the Pro Series.
