Sixteen year old Daniel Baguma, is eyeing some experience and honour when he takes part in the World Junior Golf Championships in Fleetwood,England from July 14-17.
“It will be my first major event I will be taking part in Europe and I am looking forward to gaining experience,” Baguma said. “I hope I can gain a few new things for my game.”
The handicap six Toro golf club player will be Uganda’s only representative at this prestigious golf tournament however he will be accompanied by golfer Fabian Rwalinda. Baguma will also have the opportunity of seeing some of the best golfers in the world during the British Open, that will proceed after the junior players accomplish their tournament.
The Uganda Golf Union is facilitating his trip to England.
Baguma is a national junior golfer who earlier this year represented Uganda at the Africa Junior Championship in Gabarone,Botswana.
