Everything is set for the rematch between challenger Malik ‘The hit man’ Kaliisa and champion Titus ‘Hard rock’ Tugume at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.

KALIISA

Kaliisa 28 is just a year older than Tugume and

he one fighter that has greatly improved since the last time he was in the ring.

He first worked on his weight, cutting down over 10 kilos and it was not a surprised when he weighed in at 77.7 KGs compared to Tugume who was 80.5.

Kaliisa boasts of a strong left leg though trainer Istvan Rozman has worked around the clock to improve his boxing and techniques.

“He (Kaliisa) was slow and had poor techniques but had to tell him and being a good fighter he understood and learnt very first.” Said Istvan.

TUGUME

The reigning national champion and Uspa kick boxer of the year has been tagged favorite ahead of today’s encounter.

Tugume being the fighter he is does not allow praises carry him off the ground.

Tugume has been training for the last three months preparing for an international fight.

However, there was demand that he should defend the title first and Kaliisa was the only challenger available.

Tugume posses a strong left punch and he has improved his kick, which was his weak point in the previous fight.

Tugume is also excited but the fact that Kaliisa has improved as a kick boxer because that will also bring out the best in him.

“It’s good if Malik is getting better, because I also don’t want to beat someone who is not good, that’s the only way I will be seen as a good kick boxer,” Tugume said.

Both fighters have promised a knock out, Kaliisa didn’t specify what round but Tugume was optimistic by the second round fans will be going back home
