Godfrey Nkambwe with a score of 48 stableford points swept a field of 199 golfers to claim the one day Bro Group Corporation golf day at the the Entebbe golf course on Saturday.
The one day event one of the biggest tournament’s on the Entebbe golf club calendar attracted players from Kampala, Entebbe, Kenya, Rwanda, Toro, Jinja, Lugazi, Tororo and Mbarara.
Handicap seven Jaffer Tebba, from Lugazi was group A winner with 37 points. John Kwon was group B winner with 37 points. The Uganda Golf Union event also attracted 19 professionals who where battling for 5 million shillings at stake with Rwanda’s Jean Baptiste Hakizimana, winning the professional section.
John Agard playing off handicap 28 finished with 39 points claimed group C. Samalie Naikomba, playing off handicap 35 with a score of 36 points was the ladies winner group A while on-form Maximillia Byenkya with 33 points captured group B.
