Ugandan driver Jas Mangat finally managed to complete his first Pearl Rally yesterday.
And it was not just finishing, he came second to Zambia rally ace Mohammed Essa to move top of the National Rally Championship (NRC) on 235 points.
“For the last years, we have not been finishing the Pearl Rally due to mechanical problems” Mangat told Kawowo Sports prior to the prize giving ceremony at UMA show grounds.
“We lost a few brakes in the last sections today but i drove and had to finish” he added.
Mangat entered day two of the 644.89km in third position but finished second on the evening, a position he held.
