After capturing two centre forwards in Yuda Mugalu and Tony Odur from Motema Pembe and Bunamwaya SC respectively two days ago, Kampala City Council Football Club is back into the market in a bid to sign a reliable custodian.
The Lugogo based side has already set eyes on former Police, SC Villa and Kagera goal keeper Hannington Kalyesubula and URA FC’s Allan Owiny.
Kalyesubula, a free agent at the moment is an experienced goalie and his talent has never been in doubt is the most likely available of the duo but having acquired Yasin Mugabi from Proline FC, URA FC can also afford to lose Owiny who may not be interested in being second choice to Mugabi.
KCC FC had problems in goal last season with first choice Godfrey Wakabu making lots of howlers while his a deputy Nicholas Ssebwato, last season’s signing from Utoda FC was not good enough.
The 2008 league champions are keen on winning silver ware next season after a poor season that saw them finish 6th on the 16 team Super League log.
Their first capture was coach George Best Nsimbe from expelled Fire Masters FC, the title winning manager seven years back.
It should be noted that the city club was allocated Shs. 600 million by the City Authority to help in player acquisition and welfare.
The side spent Shs. 36 million on Odur and Mugalu.
