Team Uganda will not bank on any facilitation reason for Failure at the London Olympics due July 27- August 12.
The 16 athletes will just need to end the 16 year medal drought after receiving a 4600USD from Stanbic Bank as sponsorship to the XXX Olympiad.
The bank announced the timely boost at the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC)
headquarters at Lugogo on Thursday morning.
“We are indeed grateful for this enhancement,” Peninah Kabenge, the UOC general secretary said.
“This money will help us to improve on the team welfare in London”
“It is not the first time we are coming into sport,” Stanbic head of marketing Jackie Rukare said.
“We have been sponsoring the Kampala Kids League before and we are happy to be part of this (London bound team)” she added.
