
The destiny of prolific Cranes marksman Emma Okwii’s career becoming a player of Red Bull Salzburg lies in the hands of the club’s coaching staff.
Okwii is in Austria undergoing two weeks of intense trials at the Bundesliga champions training facilities in Salzburg.
“He will be here for two weeks undergoing trials at the club,” Ibrahim Sekagya, the club’s vice-captain said in e-mail message. “I wish him the best and I hope he passes the trials.”
Okwii has been in devasting form for the national team and his side Simba FC in Tanzania.
Soccer scouts have been keen on him since his brilliant performance against Palancas Negras of Angola in a World Cup qualifier away in Luanda where he scored Uganda’s crucial equaliser he was again on the mark for the Cranes when they mauled Congo Republic 4-0 in a 2013 Afcon qualifier at Mandela stadium.
