
Chinese lady golfer Chen Riying was the only golfer standing on Saturday in the MultiChoice sponsored Ladies Tombstone golf tournament held at the par 72 Kitante golf course.
The diminutive golfer did 190 yards to hole number 21 and was the only golfer who completed more than 18 holes to claim the overall prize.
Each golfer begins the round with an allotment of strokes – usually his or her full or partial handicap plus the par of the course being played – and plays until those strokes are used up. The golfer who advances farthest around the course before using up his allotment of strokes is the winner. It was the first tournament being played under the Ladies Section captain Aggie Konde Asiimwe.
In-form lady golfer Kathy Kabenge was group A winner finishing her game at hole 18. Group B was claimed by Anne Abeja Muhwezi 90 yards to hole 19.
Getrude Kityo was group C with 20 yards to hole 19. Alex Nzeyi was group A winner hitting 85 yards to hole 19.
Peter Matiru and Lindani Ndlovu with 230 yards to hole 19 nand and 18 feet three inches to hole 19 where group B and C winners respectively.
The tournament was sponsored by Multichoice,Avane Beauty Products,Midcom and Pepsi.
