Uganda’s most successful football club SC. Villa finally entered the transfer market with a bang and completed the signing of five players on this afternoon. The players that put pen to paper at Rwenzori Courts include midfielder Allan Brian Kizza from relegated Utoda FC, Hoima-Busia FC duo of exciting midfielder Hashim Kakaire and defender Constantine Nalumoso plus Mohammed Abdallah signed from Victors FC.

Apart from Allan Kizza who has signed two years, the rest have signed three year contracts that will see them

serve the club till the 2014/15 season. SC. Villa director of football Joseph Kanaba confirmed the developments and said, “We have signed five players this afternoon but we hope to add one more signing before next season’s kick off. I am happy to announce that we have acquired Allan Kizza from Utoda, Hashim Kakaire and Constantine Nalumoso from Hoima-Busia FC, defender David Kalanda from Kyambogo University and midfielder Mohammad Abdallah from Victors FC”.

“They have all signed three year contracts apart from Allan Kizza who has signed just two. Besides, we are still chasing midfielder Arthur Semazzi from Police FC and expect to finish his deal in the next few days”, he added.

Kanaba also went on to inform Kawowo Sports that the team will commence training this Friday but not at the usual training ground Villa Park.

“The pre-season training sessions kick off this week on Friday and it’s on that day that we expect to unveil the new boys. However, we shall not be at Villa Park but at different grounds (which he refused to disclose) since we need to upgrade Villa Park so that it starts to host our games by January next year”, he confirmed.

The signed players are set to replace midfielder Noah Ssemakula and defender Lawrence Kasadha who joined money bags SC Victoria University, Muwadda Mawejje who opted not to renew his contract at the club plus the released trio of Robert Kabanda, Phillip Gasana and Apollo Kakaire.
