
Seventy nine boys and girls are attending a three week golf clinic that is organised by the Uganda Lady Golf Union at the Uganda Golf Club,Kitante.
The purpose of the clinic is to teaching young golfers from the age of 6-18 the basics of golf and also to identify future stars for the game of golf.
The clinic started on August 6-August 24 and is being supervised and conduct by professional golfers from Uganda Golf Club,Jinja Golf Club,Mbarara Golf Club and Entebbe Golf Club.
“This year the clinic has attracted 79 boys and girls our target is to have a group of 100 junior golfers,” Shiela Kesiime the ladies union secretary said. “We are teaching the young ones the basics of golf and those that will do well will be back for a tournament in December.”
The tournament will conclude with a foursome tournament that will have a parent and child playing it will be a fun day.
The clinic is being facilitated by Royal and Ancient Golf Club of Saint Andrews together with the Uganda Ladies Golf Union.
